Watching this family grow has been such a pleasure. I first met Melanie when she was pregnant with their son Bryce. I have since photographed their family many times and now they are expecting again. I was thrilled to do a gender reveal with them… and even more thrilled when I saw that pink balloon!! Yep, it’s a GIRL!!

I am so happy for this family. I have come to adore them and am happy to call them friends:)Congrats Melanie and Brad!

Lincoln | Charlottesville, Richmond Newborn Photographer

I had such a great maternity session with this family that I couldn’t wait for their sweet baby boy to arrive. Lincoln came just a few days before his due date and is welcomed home by his big brother and loving family. Lincoln was one of the biggest newborns I have photographed… a 10 lb. newborn… oh, the rolls… I loved snuggling him! He was wide awake for his session at home and was not in the mood for sleepy portraits. His mommy brought him to my studio a few days later and we were able to get some sleepy shots, but only a couple! Lincoln didn’t want to miss a thing… such a cutie!

Nico | Charlottesville, Staunton VA Newborn Photographer

Nico arrived to the studio for his newborn session wide awake. He was actually one of the most alert babies I had ever photographed and made such wonderful eye contact. I was smitten and didn’t mind one bit that he was wide eyed! Eventually he caved to sleep and let me do as I please. He was such a great baby for his session. He looks just like his daddy too!

Nico, you are adorable!

Amelie | Charlottesville, Richmond Baby, Cake Smash Photographer

It sure is bittersweet when one of my “watch me grow” babies turns a year old. Most of the time I have documented them as a newborn and then again at six months old, with the last session being their birthday session. Amelie is just adorable and has changed so much her first year. We had a great session that ended with a cake smash. She loved her cake and indulged for quite some time. Actually, I think that she would have kept eating cake had we let her for an even longer time!

Georgianna | Charlottesville, VA Family and Baby Photographer

The last time I saw this family was for a family session and some portraits of Georgianna when she was four months old. It was such a great session I secretly hoped and kept my fingers crossed I would hear back from them. And when I did I was thrilled!

Georgianna is a year old now and she has grown so much! She was such a joy to photograph once again. She is so happy and smiles all the time. Although, she wasn’t a huge fan of her cake, but she still had some fun with it! Another great session with this beautiful family…
