"O" Family Sneak Peak- Fluvanna, Palmyra, Maternity Photographer

I had a great session this morning with a stunning, and I mean STUNNING, pregnant woman.  I only wish I would have looked as good as her when I was pregnant.  And believe it or not, she is actually due next week!  This is the second baby for this family and big sister is very excited.  I can not wait to photograph their newborn!  Thank you “O” family.

"S" Family Sneak Peak- Charlottesville, Fluvanna, Family and Children Photographer

I am so excited to post this sneak peek!  First and foremost, I have never had a two year old that loves the camera more than this little lady….
All I had to do was put the camera up and she was ready!  She was such a ham.  Ahh…. it was great.
Such a beautiful family….
Thank you “S” family!  I had such a great time!  I hope you love your sneak peak as much as I do!

Casting Call! Charlottesville, Fluvanna, Birth, Maternity and Newborn Photographer

Oldfields Photography is holding a casting call!  I am looking to expand my portfolio!  I need anything from maternity up to one year olds.  To be more specific, here is what I am mainly looking for:

Anyone who is pregnant and wants their birth photographed.  Birth photography is becoming a very popular art, and many people hire photographers to be at their birth to document the “story” of their delivery.  Please let me know if you are interested in this.   I am willing to do this for free to have the experience.

Also looking for anyone who is pregnant and wants maternity photographs.  It could include family as well.

Newborns.  I would love some nice, brand new babies to photograph.

One year olds.  I would love to take photos for a one year old’s birthday pictures. I would specifically like to do a cake smash.  A cake smash is exactly what it sounds like.  I would bring my backdrop stand to your home and we would put your one year old in diaper and give them a cake.  Then we would photograph it! After the cake smash, we could get your one year old all cleaned up and take some “regular” portraits.

I am willing to do any of these type of sessions for free.  Prints and/or CD’s of fully edited images would be 25% off.

So, there you have it!  Now all I need are some little models to help me fill up my portfolio.

Email me for more info.

Here are the sneak peek’s from the mini-sessions today!  They went great, and I only got down-poured on once!  The weather managed to cooperate the rest of the afternoon so that I could photograph all these little cuties.  I had a great time and thank everyone for coming out in the hot weather!

Beautiful Wedding! Charlottesville, Albemarle Photographer

About two weeks ago, I got an unexpected call from a friend of mine who works at a hair salon in Charlottesville.  She had a bride there who’s photographer had fallen very ill and was being rushed to the emergency room.  The bride was apparently in tears and did not know what she was going to do. Her wedding started in three hours!
Fast forward to the phone call.  Imagine myself in my pajamas cleaning the house and chasing after my ballerinas.  My friend from the hair salon called and asked if there was any way I could shoot the wedding.  I thought about it and didn’t have any other photo shoots that day, so I said I would give it my best shot!  I had never done a wedding before, although, I would like to one day, so I was a bit nervous, okay, very nervous, but I cleaned up very quickly, jumped in the car, and headed to Glenmore!
The wedding was supposed to take place outdoors, but the weather would not cooperate, therefore it was held inside. The beautiful bride was so relieved when got there and I felt at ease around her family automatically.
I want to thank the “W” family for trusting me to photograph their special day.  I did my absolute best under the circumstances.  It was a beautiful day and I felt very honored to be a part of it.  Thank you very much “W” family and congratulations to your both!
The beautiful bride….
The bride’s father gave her away. It was very emotional and I had a hard time keeping my composure behind the lens!
Such a sweet moment…
