Julie is a good friend of mine…she came into my life when she moved to the Charlottesville area about 5 years ago. We met online via a group for mothers and hit it right off. So many things have changed in our lives since then.. I started a photography business and moved from the “stay-at home mom” to a “part-time working mom” and Julie went on to marry a wonderful man, and start her own business running a “natural-based” daycare that is amazing. I am so happy for Julie and Dan, welcoming this new and beautiful life into their already wonderful family.
Baby Brinley’s birth was “Planned” to be a home birth… but after Julie’s water broke and contractions didn’t start many hours later, they checked into UVA hospital to get things moving along… and boy did they ever get moving along! Julie went from barely even being in labor, to things kicking into high gear and then Brinley making her appearance all in about 4 hours. Julie’s labor was amazing… she was calm as ever, and took each contraction like a champ! The love was in the room and I have to say that I thought it was amazing and so sweet that Julie let her older daughter be with her for the birth… she was so mature through the entire process and I thought it was wonderful that she was included.
Baby Brinley is welcomed home by a big brother and sister and a wonderful family.
Julie and Dan, thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a special time for your family… it was truly an honor.
